Hello, my name is Andrew Flynn. I am a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. My health and wellness journey starts with the fire service, where the love for one career has led me into another.
As both a career and volunteer firefighter, exercise and nutrition play a daily, vital role in my life. What first started out as some progressive ideology to better the fire service has evolved and led me here; to broaden the base in which I can share my experience and knowledge.
I’m truly no different than you; dealing with the intricacies of adulthood and being a parent, and the schedule in which follows such responsibility. I fully understand the difficulties one faces when trying to better yourself through fitness and nutrition. I live that reality every day and just like you, there are times I struggle. But still, you can find me here most days whether working with someone just like you, working on myself under a squat bar or doing some functional conditioning for the fire service.
I’ve competed in the GoRuck Tough Challenges consisting of a 20 mile march over the span of 12 overnight hours, wearing a 30-40 lb. ruck sack in addition to carrying additional weighted objects throughout. I’ve competed in the 9/11 Memorial Stairclimb Events, which consisted of climbing 110 stories with full firefighting ensemble. I enjoy pushing myself to the limit and out of my comfort zone and you can expect the same when working with me.
