Lee Mclndoe Forster

Hello, my name is Lee McIndoe Forster. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with degrees in Elementary and Special Education. Although, I never swam competitively, while in college I was able to help coach the Weld County Special Olympic Swim Team and I loved it. From the time I was old enough I worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor every summer.

I worked as a Kindergarten teacher and then as a teacher for children with learning disabilities until my first son was born. I really enjoyed staying home with my children, but I never stopped missing teaching. Working with other people and helping them to achieve something has really filled that void. Teaching someone a new skill is truly rewarding, but to see them overcome a fear or experience the joy on their face when they accomplish something new is truly a gift.

I have had the opportunity to work with children and adults in the water who faced a variety of different challenges. Some of these challenges included those who were wheel chair bound, had Cerebral Palsy, were mentally challenged or on the Autism Spectrum.

I have also had the privilege of working with adults; whether it be helping someone overcome a lifelong fear of water, simply helping them improve their skills, or their endurance. I am very excited to be working at Champions Fitness Center as a swimming instructor and I look forward to many happy hours in the pool sharing my passion!

Currently, I teach Aqua Arthritis Mondays at 11 am, Cardio Splash Wednesdays at 9:30 am and Aqua Arthritis Wednesdays at 11 am. I also teach Adult and Children’s Swim Lessons.
