Hello, my name is Elizabeth Miller and I teach the Pilates class here at Champions Fitness Center.
I have enjoyed exercising and being active my whole life. I began attending Pilates classes 10 years ago to try something different and fell in love with it! I became certified in Mat 1 through Balanced Body in 2012 and currently teach a Beginner Pilates class on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 am. Pilates is a series of low impact floor exercises that build strength, tone muscles and work the core giving you a long lean look, better posture and improved balance.
In addition to my time at Champions I enjoy exploring new places, reading good books and spending time with my family and friends. I worked in education for many years and retired in 2016 as an Alcohol Drug Abuse Prevention Counselor in the North Syracuse school district. I have been married to my husband for 34 years, have 2 daughters and a spoiled Irish Terrier.
If you have never tried Pilates, come give it a try! It can be a great addition to your exercise routine and no experience is necessary.
